BUYER GUIDE
Importing Custom Bags from China: Buyer Checklist
Successful sourcing depends on a clear specification, evidence-based supplier review and written control of approvals. Use this checklist to make quotations and samples easier to compare.
A practical buyer checklist
Verify the supplier and scope
Confirm the legal company details used for quotation and payment, the product categories supported, the named contact and where manufacturing or key processes take place. Request current evidence for any certification or audit that matters to your program.
Send a complete product brief
Include intended use, dimensions, reference images, materials, colors, artwork, labels, hardware, packaging, quantity and destination. State any testing, compliance or inspection requirements that apply to your market.
Compare quotations on equal terms
Check what is included, the currency, trade term, sample charges, packaging, tooling or custom-component costs, payment terms and quotation validity. Confirm MOQ and timing for the actual specification rather than a generic reference product.
Approve the sample and specification
Review appearance, dimensions, function, workmanship, branding and packing. Record every revision and keep the approved sample aligned with the final written specification and artwork.
Plan inspection and shipment
Agree when and how final inspection will happen, which documents are required, how cartons will be marked and who will arrange freight and import clearance. Use qualified logistics and customs professionals for destination-specific advice.
Confirm the project in writing
Final materials, MOQ, pricing, lead time, testing, packing and commercial terms depend on the approved specification and written quotation. Send BSN the actual product brief for a project-specific review.
