Custom Kit Contents and Bag Fit Validation Guide

A bag can match a drawing and still fail the program when the real documents, bottles, devices, cards or gift items do not fit, load or present as expected.

Approve the bag with the items it is expected to carry

A quoted bag size is only a starting point. Buyers should identify the actual contents, their maximum dimensions and the intended loading order, then review a production-intent sample with representative items before approving the structure.

01

Freeze the item list and responsibility boundary

List every item, quantity and maximum external dimension. Note rigid, fragile, liquid, sharp-edged or surface-sensitive items because those characteristics influence spacing and separation.

State who supplies each item and where insertion takes place. BSN should not be assumed to receive, hold or pack keys, official documents, personal data or third-party goods unless that scope is documented separately.

02

Map the loading order and intended access

Show the orientation and sequence used to load the bag. Identify which item must be reached first, whether contents should remain visible, and whether they may move, rub or stack during handling.

Check usable opening dimensions rather than external bag dimensions alone. Zipper paths, seams, binding, gussets and dividers can reduce the space available for loading and retrieval.

03

Review a filled sample under realistic conditions

Load representative items into the sample and check closure strain, bulging, balance, handle comfort, item migration and presentation. Photograph the approved arrangement so the expected result is clear.

Fit validation does not prove cushioning, leak resistance, impact protection, security or regulatory performance. Any such requirement needs a defined method, acceptance criteria and project-specific testing.

04

Lock the approved arrangement and change trigger

Record the dated sample, item list, dimensions, loading photo, bag specification and packing instruction as one approval set. Use a clear revision number for the complete kit.

Repeat the fit review whenever an item, container, document format, insert, divider, bag dimension or packing sequence changes. A small change in one component can alter closure and presentation.

BUYER FAQ

Questions to settle before sampling or allocation.

Can bag dimensions be estimated from an item list?

A preliminary size can be estimated, but final approval should use representative items or verified three-dimensional references and a filled sample.

Who should approve third-party items placed inside the bag?

The buyer should approve the item list, ownership, supply route, insertion location and responsibility for any third-party contents.

When should fit validation be repeated?

Repeat it after any change to the contents, bag dimensions, compartments, closure, inserts or loading sequence.

Does successful fit validation prove protective performance?

No. Fit confirms that the intended items load, close and present as agreed. Protection or resistance claims require separate specifications and testing.
