BUYER GUIDE

Packaging Options for Private-Label Bags

Packaging must protect the product, present the brand clearly and fit the shipment plan. The right solution starts with the sales channel and destination requirements.

A practical buyer checklist

01

Begin with the sales channel

Retail shelves, e-commerce fulfillment, promotional distribution and gift sets have different presentation and handling needs. State whether the bag will be sold alone, nested in a set, filled with another product or packed for direct shipment.

02

Define product-level protection

Discuss folding, shape retention, surface protection, moisture considerations and how trims or handles will be positioned. The outer material and structure determine whether simple protective packing is enough or whether added support is needed.

03

Prepare labels and printed materials

Share approved artwork and required wording for hangtags, inserts, stickers, barcode labels or other brand materials. The buyer remains responsible for confirming destination-market labeling and legal requirements. Proofs should be approved before production.

04

Review master-carton requirements

Carton quantity, assortment, carton marks, product orientation and shipping method affect packing. Ask the manufacturer to confirm the proposed packing after the finished dimensions and product weight are known.

05

Approve one complete packed sample

Review the bag together with all packaging components, not as separate items. Packaging minimums, costs, materials and lead time should be stated in the written quotation and final specification.

Confirm the project in writing

Final materials, MOQ, pricing, lead time, testing, packing and commercial terms depend on the approved specification and written quotation. Send BSN the actual product brief for a project-specific review.
